We hope
you enjoy racing on this track and in There. Remember, the track
is not your personal playground. At any point in time, you will
be sharing it. The rules below are guides to fair sharing of the
track with others racing here. Have fun, and please inform the
owners of any problems you encounter. Email any of the owners above or SmokeyJoe , our track
manager.
--Use the Buggy Rules
Sign near the entrance to Dune Valley in your layouts.
--When a problematic
racer violates one of the rules, point it out to him/her on the sign or
on this scroll (under the Dune Valley sign by the entrance) by a
warning in IM or in the zone chat box.
--Remove after a
warning. Announce in the chat window who was removed. If
they return to the zone inform them upon entry as to why they were
removed.
--Ban if necessary when
the offense is repeated.
--Please leave the
track set to unrated when you finish your event.
--Use a cohost group
which includes the Dune Valley owners. Be responsible for other
cohosts on your list.
--Turbo as much as you
possibly can while maintaining control of buggy
--Make your path to the
next arrow as straight as you can. Make short, quick, clicks to
the left and right mouse to keep you straight. Don't over
correct, the program tends to also correct your path.
--Approach ramps with
wheels square to the ramp edge.
--Turbo upon entering a
ramp
--Enter banks low and
stay low without hitting the rail
--Turbo upon exiting a
banked turn
--Aim at your next gate
upon exiting a banked turn
--Use mouse to make
tight turns and in banks
--When turning through
a gate, make turn as tight as possible to the inside post.
--When working on lap
time on the same track, make a note of times you arrive at various
points throughout the track and try to improve the sections as well as
the track as a whole.
--Try to avoid
collisions, they slow both you and your opponent down. But...
REMEMBER ... you are racing on the
web and lag times vary. You may see your self being hit by
someone who doesn't see you at all. Also, you may see yourself
going through the finish line a split second ahead of someone who beats
your time. Write this off to lag differences.
